Future-proof your network with OPT-E-WAN

AT&T Partner Exchange has launched OPT-E-WAN service for customers that need to deploy Ethernet to connect their large voice, video or data bandwidth locations.

OPT-E-WAN is a Layer 2 switched Ethernet service that functions as a Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) to link multiple LANs/MANs across a nationwide WAN without cumbersome protocol conversions. It complements AT&T VPN and local Ethernet solutions at speeds from 1M to 10G.
Features include:
  • -  Multiple access options (ASE, GigaMAN, DecaMAN, Metro Ethernet, ACCU-Ring® or AT&T Ultravailable® service)
  •
  • -  Four class of service (CoS) profiles to support your applications
  •
  • -  Per Packet Class of Service (PPCoS) that match your data to its priority level
  •
  • -  Flexible configurations: point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, or multipoint-to-multipoint (any-to-any)

Unlike Layer 3 VPNs, which only support IP, OPT-E-WAN's Layer 2 VPLS supports legacy protocols, such as IBM Systems Network Architecture (SNA), NetBIOS, and AppleTalk.
OPT-E-WAN allows you to easily integrate different locations and access methods over a single infrastructure. It has the control and feel of a LAN to easily change speeds and move locations over an end-to-end-Ethernet network.  View the Brief.
